Wind assessment at the heights from 0 to 1000 m


This section is devoted to possibility of use of the MTP-5. Since the MTP-5 gives a high-rise profile of temperature, on the basis of this profile it is possible to determine atmospheric pressure. If to have a profile of atmospheric pressure in three points, then it is possible to determine the speed and the direction of wind.


In the section Method the method of determination of speed and the direction of wind is described. Cases of mounting of the system "from zero" and in case of embedding in already available network of the devices ÌÒÐ-5 are considered.


In the section Wind online you can choose date and look at a wind profile, i.e. speed and the direction of wind. For calculations the embedding method in already available network of ÌÒÐ-5 has been chosen. The first, basic, is in the territory of CAO (Dolgoprudny of the Moscow region), the second - in MSU (Leninskie Gory), the third - Moskomekomonitoring (Novokosino).


At first it is necessary to enter data about location of devices in three points, and also some other data. These data you can enter on the page Input data.


You can compare the results received by means of the MTP-5 and meteodata measured by the Sonde on the MTP-5 page & the Sonde.
